The Beaker Girls is a continuation of the successful Tracy Beaker series, adapted from Jacqueline Wilson’s best-selling books. The show stars Dani Harmer as the irrepressible Tracy Beaker and Emma Maggie Davies as her book-smart, sassy daughter, Jess. The first season consists of five episodes, while the second season includes twelve episodes.

The series follows Tracy Beaker and her daughter Jess as they navigate their new life running the Dumping Ground junk shop in the quirky seaside town of Cooksea. The duo faces dramatic twists, untold secrets, and finds friendship in unexpected places. The show touches on themes of family, friendship, and the challenges of the care system, particularly through the character of Jordan, a runaway teen who becomes part of Tracy’s family.

Filming for The Beaker Girls took place in various locations within North Somerset. The production utilized sets built at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol and filmed on location with scenes throughout Sand Bay and Clevedon, providing the coastal backdrop for the fictional town of Cooksea.
