Wherever possible, a filming application should be submitted a minimum of 5 working days prior the first date of filming.
All filming applications should include:

Use of Drones
Drones can capture the perfect shot of areas in North Somerset, but this must be done safely. Please read our guidelines carefully. If you are using a drone, your filming application must also include the following information:
A map illustrating the take-off and landing points, flight path, and/or area
A copy of the drone pilot’s A2CofC, GVC or PfCO
A risk assessment and method statement outlining how the drone will be managed and flown safely
Where applicable, a copy of your CAA Navigation Order
We welcome the next generation of talented filmmakers to join us as part of their studies.
Students filming will not incur a cost in public spaces if it is part of their studies. However, a film permit is always required.
There are some restrictions:
No more than 20 crew members for filming to be considered ‘student’
A minimum of 1 week’s notice must be given before the filming date.
