Charges and Fees

Information

Any corporate filming that is undertaken in North Somerset requires a permit from us.

Time frames: Please provide us with as much notice for filming as possible, especially if it is more complex (e.g. police, fight scenes, stunts, vehicle usage, special access, and road closures etc.)

General Views: Defined as the capturing of images of North Somerset landmarks, buildings, streets, and outdoor spaces. Pieces to camera, interviews, photography shoots, time-lapse sequences, scripted scenes and drone filming are not considered to be general views.

Drones: There is a £150 charge per day for the use of a drone. Drone filming does not require locational fees.

Students: There are no fees for exterior filming.

Opportunities for interior filming in Council buildings are limited; usually to sites already open to the public. Charges may be applicable for these.
