Weston Town Centre

The council is moving forward with its key residential sites with development partner Aequus Group. This will deliver 380 new homes in the town centre. SuperWeston is the council’s major regeneration programme, and we are now delivering £23m of Levelling Up Funds to transform assets along the seafront including the Tropicana (recently home to SEE Monster and previously Banksy’s Dismaland), Birnbeck Pier and Marine Lake. We are seeking a new operator to run the Tropicana as a successful commercial entertainment venue for the town.

Alongside this there will be investment in the High Street and Grove Park. This ambitious regeneration programme positions Weston to grow its visitor economy and increase resident footfall. We are focussing on attracting new visitor accommodation, retail, and hospitality into our town.

Our towns have all the ingredients for a successful local economy and excellent quality of life that promotes local working rather than the daily grind of commuting.
